The twelfth search is to scrutinise a photocopy of a newspaper clipping which I made quite long ago. I can't recall from which local Malay paper nor what year I had kept this clipping. It reads "Dr Abdul Latif, Dr Mazlin dilantik profesor UKM". It is 10.40 pm.
Two newly elected UKM professors, Dr. Abdul Latif Samian and Dr. Mazlin Mokhtar, were featured above the corresponding text.
Dr. Abdul Latif Samian (44 years) is from Pusat Pengajian Umum, UKM. Dr. Abdul Latif obtained his PhD in Philosophy from UM. He has published more than 100 makalah in the Journal of Islamic Culture, Muslim Education Quarterly, Sains Malaysiana, Pemikir, Kesturi, Hamdard Medicus, Jurnal Pendidikan Islam, and the International Journal of Transcendent Philosophy.
I am positive that Dr. Abdul Latif may have some knowledge or insight of the early Malay doctors and ulamak and their writings.
