Salam Prof.
It is me again..your anonymous fan from Penang. I asked u just now whether there was a Dr. Aziz and after carefully browsing i just found it. Why i asked u was because his younger brother the late Abdullah came to Penang to visit my father and passed away a few weeks later in Kota Bharu. The year must have been 1982 based on the info that u have provided above. If i can recall they are related to Mr. Hashim Embi who was once a newscaster in RTM and their kampong was known as Pisang Awak near Jelutong.
Salam.

Salam,

Yes, now I know you are a fan, and TQ for the interest. I have seen Hashim Embi on TV when I was a child. My grandfather was also from Jelutong. I have been to both Jelutong Timur and the one by Jalan Perak. I'm providing some details on Dr Abdul Aziz from my 2nd book:

Abdul Aziz was born on 20 January 1919 in Penang to Omar and his wife named Ah. He grew up in Penang. Abdul Aziz had attended Sekolah Melayu Chowrasta in George Town, Penang from 1925 to 1929. His classmate was Abdul Wahab bin Mohd Ariff. The school is located across the road from Masjid Jamek Jalan Hatin. The history of the school is given at its website and mentions his name. Dr Abdul Aziz was from Penang. Nothing is known about his great grandparents and grandparents at the time of writing. His father was Omar bin Khamis. His mother was called Tok Ah and her real name remains unknown. His parents were blessed with eight children, four sons and four daughters. He was the youngest. His siblings are Hajah Siah, Haji Che Abdullah, Salmah, Che Nu, Ariffin, Hajjah Maryam and Abdul Rahim.

1) Hajah Siah bt Omar (died 3 September 1991/24 Safar 1412 Hijrah) is deceased and is buried at Kubur Banggol.

2) Haji Che Abdullah bin Omar (died Friday 9 July 1982/17 Ramadhan 1402) married Nik Sofiah bt Daud and they have four daughters and a son – Noorlia, Norli, Noor Aini, Noor Ainun, and Rosli Mohd Noor. Haji Che Abdullah bin Omar is deceased and is buried at Kubur Banggol. One of his daughters works at Klinik Perdana in Kota Bharu.

Correction:
Dr Abdul Aziz is the eldest. His mother is Rabiah (Tok Ah to her grandchildren).

His mother is Rabiah. Dr Abdul Aziz bin Omar was the third child but eldest son. His youngest sibling passed away during the Japanese occupation, aged 14. His second youngest sibling is Abdul Rahim bin Omar.
