Dr Mustapha bin Osman was going on long leave as reported on 2 April 1952. In 1952, Dr Mustapha bin Osman became the Governor of the new Lady Templer Tuberculosis Hospital in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
Dr AA Cameron who was the Deputy State Medical and Health Officer (SMHO), Perak was transferred to Kedah as State Surgeon to relieve Dr Mustapha.
Dr GA Mott relieved Dr Cameron in Ipoh.
