1933 - Malay School Kuala Kangsar, Standard 1-5.
1936 - Clifford School, Kuala Kangsar, 3 years
1939 - Anderson School (Science; Scouts), 2 years
1941- WW2 broke out; returned to Kuala Kangsar
1943 - Attended Ika Daigaku Japanese Medical College in Singapore (6 months)
1943-45 - The Medical College moved to Malacca General Hospital; he too moved
1945 - (post-war) returned to Clifford School, Kuala Kangsar
1946 - obtained Cambridge School Certificate
1947 - attended King Edward VII Medical College in Singapore
1953 - graduated from University of Malaya, Singapore with MBBS degree
Government Medical Service
1954 - Housemanship at Johor Bahru (1 year)
1955 - joined Government service in Johor Bahru
Served in Perak and Terengganu.
1955 - Taiping, Perak (6 months)
1956 - Besut, Terengganu as MOHO (5 months)
MOHO = Medical Officer and Health Officer
Resigned from Government service.
Postgraduate Studies
Studied O&G in England
1956-57 - Senior House Surgeon, Dept O&G, West Middlesex Hospital (WMH), London
July 1957-58 - Senior House Surgeon, Dept Surgery, WMH, London
1958 - Registrar, Dept O&G, Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, Norwich (3 months)
1958-60 - Registrar, Dept O&G, City General Hospital, Carlisle, Cumberland
January 1960 - obtained MRCOG. He was the first Malay doctor with MRCOG.
Resumed Medical Service in Malaya
He returned to Malaya in May 1960.
1960-65 - appointed State O&G Perak at Ipoh General Hospital
1965-71; 1974-76 - Surgeon O&G under Ministry of Health, worked at Kuala Lumpur General Hospital.
1969 - on special study tour to USA; obtained FRCOG, London
1971-74 - seconded as VC of UKM
1974 - returned to GHKL as Senior Specialist O&G. Head of Dept O&G.
He retired in 1976.

He practised at Pantai Medical Centre, Jalan Pantai Baru and Klinik Wanita, Section 14, Petaling Jaya.
