Lady Templer

In 1926 Gerald Templer married Edith Margery Davie; they had a daughter and a son. She was known as Lady Templer.

In Malaya, the Lady Templer Tuberculosis Hospital was built in 1952 and was named in her honour. In 1952, Dr Mustapha bin Osman (an early Malay doctor) became the Governor of the new Lady Templer Tuberculosis Hospital in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. [TEMD Research]

The Duchess of Kent in October 1952 was Princess Marina of Greece and  Denmark.

Dr Che Lah was an early Malay doctor. He served as the State Medical and Health Officer (SMHO) in Malacca in 1953. In 1953, Dr Che Lah bin Md Joonos accompanied Lady Templer when she visited the Malacca General Hospital. [TEMD Research]
